In order to achieve this goal, it programs and organizes seminars as
well as economic and cultural conferences with the management of a library,
too. Even in the framing of the contests and talks.

Association
club El Kalem (scientific and cultural vocation)
It is an association with scientific
and cultural vocation specialised in commerce and economy,
its motto is “science ,patrimony and innovation. It was created on November,
21, 1989 and got its authorisation from the wilaya of Algiers in 1990.
The appearance of this club was due to the efforts of
students who felt the need for a scientific
atmosphere on high level within the Higher School of Trade through its
tendency towards the continuous support of scientific search in the economic field.
It also makes a point of encouraging the spirit of
the scientific innovation to promote the intellectual
level of the students, and finally to preserve the good reputation
of the School, and to create relationships to other
associations and researchers
concerned.
To be able to achieve its aims, the club El Kalem based
itself on scientific means : the organization
of the exhibitions and conferences, the animation of the conferences
and seminars, the availability of a specialised
library as well as a half-yearly
cultural review. May God help us to serve science and the students.

Sports association

Further to the extraordinary
general meeting of October 18, 1991, it was unanimously adopted
the following resolution : the creation of the sports association
of the higher school of trade of which approval was obtained
on November 11 th, 1992.
We took part in the university championship by aligning
only the team of football, a choice which proved to be judicious
since the latter was crowned champion of Algiers.
During the following years, we tried to take part with the maximum
of teams, which was worth the bond of champion of Algiers in basketball
and football in 1993-1994, a participation in an international tournament
of horsemanship, a silver medal in judo, and vice champion in basketball
with the university national games in Oran in 1996; 04gold medals
in karate to the national championship in Oum el Bouaghi in 1997.
Being wilful and determined, we were not satisfied with the sports
activities, better still, we innovated by organizing exhibitions
of books and scientific works intended for the students of ESC.
We also organized several small trips and excursions for the feast
of the end of the year.
1997 was a year where the association modified its way of life which became
a university sports club of the ESC.We were invited to participate to the traditional
tournament of the foot ball organised each year for the last 18 years by the
group ESSEC in the city of Cergy in France. Given the results obtained and the
good behaviour of our team, our club received the invitations of this tournament
during seven years.
All this serious work was in fact fruitful for ourselves, since
we became today one of the best structured association at the level
of Algerian universities.
