The Ecole Supérieure de Commerce was founded in 1900, under the French ruling.

On February, 18 th, 1966, in compliance with the presidential decree # 66-43, the School was therefore linked to the University of Algiers to fulfil its mission and serve the nation. In 1985, the School went back to its autonomy vis-à-vis the university of Algiers. In compliance with the presidential decree #85-160 dated June 18 th, 1985, the School was therefore installed under the supervision of the Ministry for the higher education and Scientific research.
